Jamie Cheney, Founding Partner:
A marketer and strategist, Jamie has driven digital thinking for Nike, Verizon, and American Express, among other global brands. Prior to launching Prokanga in 2013, she led strategy teams in the US, Europe and the Middle East for AKQA, TBWA and Digitas. Her strategy work has been recognized with numerous awards including Cannes Lions and Clios. Jamie graduated from Yale with a double major in Political Science and Economics, where she was the captain of the women's sailing team and played varsity ice hockey. She earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, and lives in New York City with her husband and three boys. Jamie sits on the Board of Directors of the Yale Alumni Fund and the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association.
Lesley Finer, Founding Partner:
Lesley has over a decade of recruiting experience in the alternative asset management space. As the leader of Prokanga’s finance practice, she brings this experience in placing senior level professionals at some of the industry's most prominent hedge funds and private equity firms. Earlier in her career, she worked in client management in the marketing and advertising industry, covering accounts such as Estee Lauder, Unilever and Procter and Gamble. Lesley earned her BA from the University of Michigan, and is a proud mother to three daughters.
Christina Anzel, Managing Director, West Coast:
Christina brings over a decade of experience in fundraising, investor relations and consulting in the alternative assets space. Prior to joining Prokanga, she worked at the KAP Group, where she advised private fund managers on their capital raising strategies. Earlier in her career, Christina headed the investor relations team for energy and infrastructure at Ares Management, L.P. and at Energy Investors Funds. Christina is a finance lawyer by training, with experience at both Latham & Watkins LLP, in San Francisco, and Milbank Tweed Hadley and McCloy LLP in New York City. Christina received her B.A. in English Literature from Haverford College, where she was co-captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. She earned her J.D. and LL.M. from Duke University School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law. Christina lives in San Francisco with her husband and two children.
